![]() She joined The Weather Channel in July 2003 working as their on-air meteorologist, while she was also a reporter and a fill-in until 2005 when she became a co-host of the show “Weekend View”. ![]() She launched her career when she started working at the WTXL ABC-affiliated TV station in Tallahassee as their morning meteorologist. Stephanie Abrams Career as a meteorologist She is currently a member of both the American Meteorological Society and National Weather Association. After her success in the field of meteorology, she served as a teaching assistant at Florida State University. While there, she practiced her on-air skills on the “FSU Live” news and weather program airing on a cable channel in Tallahassee. She continued her education at Florida State University in Tallahassee, graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in meteorology. Upon matriculation, Stephanie enrolled at the University of Florida located in Gainesville, where she was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa, the oldest USA academic honor society, and a member of the Delta Phi Epsilon sorority, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography, while her minor was mathematics. She also attended the educational camp called Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama. She studied at a local high school, where she played tennis and volleyball while she also practiced acting but was never really good at it.
